Artist Statement

Neta Arbely (1987) holds a bachelor's degree from the Department of Ceramics and Glass Design (2011) as well as a master's degree in Fine Arts (2014) with honors-  both from Bezalel Academy of art and Design, Jerusalem.Currently she works in Art Cube Artists' Studios, Jerusalem.

Arbely works across diverse mediums, focused on site-specific installations and recyclable-materials sculpture, simulating models of interventions in external spaces.

In the act of art I see the possibility of observing and searching for the celestial charge hidden behind matter and reality.  The Jerusalem space and the Israeli space as a contemporary realistic space that touches on  historical, yet futuristic vision- is a fertile ground and a source of inspiration for most of my works.

Arbely has exhibited solo exhibitions at Barbur Gallery (2013) and at Mamuta Art and Research Center (2017), in addition to group exhibitions at Ashdod Art Museum and the Mifal Gallery. She also participated in Mamuta Art and Research Center Residency Program at Ein Karem, and a Student Exchange Program IUAV University, Venice (2010).   Currently she is also engaged in art education in the Haredi community.
